หอประวัติมหาวิทยาลัยพายัพ เป็นศูนย์กลางรวบรวมการจัดแสดงประวัติความเป็นมารวมทั้งรวบรวม ข้อมูลสารสนเทศที่สำคัญของมหาวิทยาลัยพายัพ ซึ่งเป็นสถาบันอุดมศึกษาของมูลนิธิแห่งสภาคริสตจักรในประเทศไทย ทั้งนี้เพื่อเผยแพร่ประชาสัมพันธ์ให้แก่บุคลากร นักศึกษา และผู้สนใจทั่วไปได้รับทราบเกี่ยวกับประวัติการก่อตั้งวิทยาลัยพายัพ และการพัฒนาจนเป็นมหาวิทยาลัยเอกชนแห่งแรกของประเทศไทย
มหาวิทยาลัยพายัพเป็นสถาบันการศึกษาที่มีประวัติความเป็นมาที่ยาวนานตั้งแต่สมัยมัชชันนารี คณะอเมริกันเพรส ไปทีเรียนได้เข้ามาเผยแผ่คริสตศาสนาในประเทศไทยเมื่อ พ.ศ.2383 เป็นต้นมา
นอกจากนี้ หอประวัติมหาวิทยาลัยพายัพยังมีการจัดแสดงสิ่งของที่มีคุณค่า ของมหาวิทยาลัยและจัดนิทรรศการหมุนเวียนในเรื่องที่น่าสนใจต่าง ๆ อีกด้วย โดยหอประวัติมหาวิทยาลัยพายัพ เริ่มเปิดดำเนินการตั้งแต่วันที่ 5 ตุลาคม พ.ศ.2548 เป็นต้นมา ณ ศูนย์ทรัพยากรการเรียนรู้สิรินธร ชั้น 4 มหาวิทยาลัยพายัพ เขตแม่คาว |

The Payap University Musemu serves as the center for preserving and disseminating historical documents, facts and information about Payap University. The Payap University Museum exists for the benefit of the university community and the wider society it seeks to serve through its historical exhibitions which begin with the founding of Payap University, the first private university in Thailand. The long history of Payap began with the opening of the American Presbyterian Mission to Siam in 1840 and has continued throughout the history and development of education in Thailand under the Church of Christ in Thailand.
In the museum exhititions, there are documents, photographs, mementos and multimedia displays to honor Payap's history and important people and events which have contributed to the development of the university. These ever changing exhititions will be open to the public every day during business hours. The museum can be found on the fourth floor of the Sirindhorn Learning Resource Center beginning October 5, 2005. |
